The track career after she completed her studies in 2005, Jones began training hard to pursue an athletic career in track. Jones took home the Torino Memorial in 2005, in addition to Ostrava and Heusden tracks events the following year.

Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South African. Her family moved from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Brandt was noticed by casting directors from her home town and was cast in the role as Naevia for the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. She began her career within Auckland as a retail store owner before being promoted to an IT management consultant. Lesley's career began with a few model projects. Her appearances then included countless commercial advertisements. Her acting degree was completed in 2008, and then continued to study the methods of Meisner. The first big acting role for Lesley was on the New Zealand TV drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt is a supporting actor on the New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. She then appeared in the science-fiction thriller This Is Not My Life that is based upon anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand in the role of Naevia as a hostage. She was later seen in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Miniseries.
